A MIND-BODY APPROACH TO
HEALING THROUGH WATER

→ Learn how we can help

There is something about being near water that naturally helps us slow down.

The sound, the movement, the feeling of being held or supported—it all works together to quiet the noise and bring us back into the present moment. In that space, something begins to shift. We feel more grounded, more open, and more connected to ourselves.

Aquatic Psychotherapy builds on this natural response, using water as a supportive environment for emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and deeper self-awareness.

What is Aquatic Psychotherapy?

Aquatic Psychotherapy is a specialized form of therapy that combines evidence-based counseling methods with the natural calming and regulating effects of water.

By integrating mind and body through sensory experience, movement, and relaxation, clients are often able to access deeper emotional processing in a way that feels more comfortable and effective than traditional talk therapy alone.

EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.

EMDR therapy has been declared an effective form of trauma treatment by the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization, and others. Click here for EMDR FAQ.

Testimonials

“Working with my therapist has truly transformed my life. Their guidance and support have been invaluable in my journey to wellness. Moving in the water felt grounding and supportive and helped me get out of my head and into my body. I could let emotions move through me without filtering or explaining them, and that felt incredibly relieving.”
