Individual Aquatic Sessions

One-on-one sessions in warm, supportive water. We pair evidence-based counseling with gentle movement, breath and the regulating qualities of water to help you settle your nervous system and process what feels stuck.

“Sandra is amazing. She was incredibly supportive, present, and attuned throughout the entire session. I felt safe, seen, and never rushed. Her calm guidance and compassionate presence made it possible for me to fully trust the process and let go in the ways I needed to.

Aquatic psychotherapy was a very positive, therapeutic experience. I was surprised by how effectively it increased positive feelings and a strong sense of well-being. I would highly recommend it.”

Individual EMDR “Splash” Sessions

The Splash Technique is a powerful, evidence-informed approach derived from EMDR ’s Flash technique that helps individuals process distressing memories and experiences—often more quickly and with less emotional intensity than traditional methods.

This approach allows the brain to resolve what feels “stuck,” without requiring clients to relive or retell painful experiences in detail.

Clients often report meaningful shifts in a short period of time, sometimes within a single session.

“I feel the most relaxed I have felt in weeks. It feels like a weight has been lifted off of me, and I can breathe again, and you can escape everything that’s going on, and I can just relax. I feel weightless, like the water is carrying my weight and troubles for me. And as we end our session, I can leave my troubles in the water.”

Retreats

Immersive full-day or multi-day experiences that combine aquatic therapy, rest and reflection in beautiful natural settings. Space to step back, reset and reconnect with yourself.

“Thank you both for an excellent program! Within minutes the “class” full of strangers became a warm, inviting, safe place filled with friends. And the venue was magnificent! I came home refreshed and energized.”

River Floats

In this Aquatic Psychotherapy experience, participants use the natural flow of the Wekiva River as a setting for guided reflection, self-discovery, and personal growth.

Through a series of intentional river floats, participants are invited to explore thoughts, emotions, life experiences, and personal patterns while gaining insight into themselves and their relationship with the world around them.

Each experience is centered around a unique theme and may include reflection on resilience, life transitions, relationships, inner child work, personal growth, letting go, or creating a vision for the future.

Because sometimes the wisdom we’re looking for becomes easier to hear when we’re carried by the current.

For Therapists only

“ There were several moments of profound clarity and connection, both inwardly and with the natural world. My favorite moments were floating over a turtle, passing small waterfalls, and seeing several dragonflies land on me to catch a ride down the river. These simple yet magical experiences reflected the themes Sandra invited us to explore: presence, flow, and harmony.”    — Group Float Participant

Group Experiential Workshop: Restore Your Inner Flow: An EMDR-Informed Healing Retreat Featuring G-TEP & Splash™

Many of us carry the effects of life’s experiences, whether a significant “Big T” trauma or the accumulation of smaller “little t” traumas that continue to influence how we think, feel, and respond. This three-hour experiential retreat introduces participants to EMDR group therapy using G-TEP, along with Splash™ Sandra Moenssens’ adaptation of the internationally recognized Flash Technique.

Set within the peaceful surroundings of Center Street: A Place for the Heart, participants will experience guided exercises designed to reduce stress, regulate the nervous system, and promote healing. Inspired by Blue Mind research, Splash incorporates the calming qualities of water while gathered around the pool, creating a restorative environment that supports reflection, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Whether you are seeking healing from the past or simply looking to restore your inner balance, this retreat offers a supportive space to reconnect with yourself in a new and refreshing way.

“I arrived feeling exhausted and disconnected, and I left feeling lighter, calmer, and more present. Sandra and Olivia have a gift for creating experiences that are both educational and transformative. The workshop offered practical strategies for managing stress, but more importantly, it gave me permission to slow down and reconnect with myself. The experience was thoughtfully designed, engaging, and immediately applicable to everyday life. I would recommend it to anyone looking to restore balance and find their flow again.”

Couples Experiences

In this Aquatic Psychotherapy experience, couples step into the water to rediscover how to move together—physically, emotionally, and relationally.

Guided by the principles of the relationship theories and supported by the natural regulating effects of water, partners learn to navigate challenges, restore balance, and reconnect in a way that feels both grounded and lasting.

Because when couples learn to find their rhythm on the water, that rhythm begins to carry into everyday life.

“The kayaking experience with my partner was a very unique and revealing activity. I feel much closer to my partner than I have in a long time and I was reminded that he always has my back, even when we are heading into a troubling part of the river. It reminded me to trust him again and trust in the flow of our journey, as we do life together. ”
